Waiblingen-Neustadt
The town of Neustadt was first mentioned in 1298 and incorporated into the City of Waiblingen in 1975 lies on the rocky shell limestone spur on the right banks of the Rems river. In the 1950s and 1960s the town was one of the most significant industrial communities in the Rems-Murr district. Although their numbers were decimated at the time, fortunately the farmers and wine growers were not completely replaced. Still very much in the hearts and minds of those from the older generation is the heyday of Bad Neustadtle in the 19th century.
The ancient frescoes (approx. 1300) in the Martinskirche (church) are also worth seeing. The Söhrenberg outlook point has a height of 369 meters which makes it a very good hiking destination. The natural landscape of the Rems Valley offers a diverse recreational region for hiking and biking. 16 communities take part in the Rems Valley Garden Show in 2019 - For more information about this inter-community project go to: https://remstal.de
